Originally a small family business from Slovakia, Accace, was dealing with a chaotic HR process. The company did not have a unified system for recruiting new employees. The Nalgoo ATS product has streamlined and simplified their work to such an extent that they now want to expand the use of the system to their other European offices and even offer it to their clients.

A family business from Slovakia expands into Europe

The main mission of the Slovakia-based company is to provide tax and legal consulting or payroll outsourcing. Accace also aims  to relieve HR teams from administrative duties by processing HR agendas and assisting customers in recruiting for financial positions.

What was once a small family business is now steadily developing and growing and has the potential to reach V4 level. Although it now has more than 400 employees in thirteen European countries, it has maintained that family atmosphere from its roots while still managing to differentiate itself from the competition thanks to a personal approach enjoyed not only by its customers but also its employees.

 

They reached for a digital solution

Chaos pushed them into replacing Accace's archaic system and employees are guided by the philosophy that productivity at work is essential. Coupled with their positive attitude towards innovation, technological innovation, and various tools that make their work more efficient. Thus, they avoid stereotypes and boredom. Employees prefer the efficiency in the HR processes. The chaos of the past, caused by manually uploading information into different systems, digging through CVs, or using outdated systems, did not make for an easy working environment. That's why they decided to give a green light to the "digital revolution in HR".

 

Internal HR processes were digitized and automated

Inside the company, employees had been using a well-established intranet developed by an external company for over 10 years. Adapted to Accace's corporate needs with its database of employees and clients, the system was used for communication, document storage, etc. Today, however, it no longer met the company's needs.

 

The time had come to change the means of communication with both employees and potential candidates. Why?

  • The system that Accace employees were using had becoming outdated.
  • It was never actively used for recruitment.
  • The only tool used to recruit new employees was posting jobs on job portals and their websites.
  • The tool used to communicate with candidates was not satisfactory, Accace gradually switched back to a paper-based method. The system was lost, and with it any sense of order.

 

The technologically advanced product appealed

How do you find out which candidates or current employees have ever applied for a particular position without having to manually search through numerous papers or Excel spreadsheets? How do you keep track of who last communicated with an unsuccessful candidate to whom Accace would like to reach out again for a newly opened position? The answer was simple. The system. The right system that employees could use and be happy with.

 

While we love new technology at Accace, we are sceptical of solutions that have been on the market for a relatively short time. However, when we came across Nalgoo ATS, our view changed. Even when we were first presented with the product, we didn't want to believe that there were such progressive solutions on the market. We were impressed that a young company had built such a technologically advanced product in such a relatively short time.

 

A different employee, a different system

A company where new employees are constantly being recruited and where each HR employee has always had their own system, their own database, . the HR agenda ended up in chaos. Employees were often faced with the problem of identifying and filtering out candidates without having to pass the information through dozens of people.

 

The continuous flow of information and faster communication

The deployment of Nalgoo was preceded by an effort to create a custom tool to manage the HR agenda. But it was unsuccessful. Accace had attended many meetings where they had the opportunity to learn about systems based on a similar principle, but none of them came close to what they needed. "Although we weren't actively looking for a solution to streamline recruitment, we were very pleased when we were introduced to Nalgoo ATS. The first presentation made a good impression. The main advantage for us was that Nalgoo connects to the job portals we use to advertise jobs. Another plus was that we can test the entire functionality, Nalgoo is constantly evolving its solution. New features are added to the system based on our needs and requirements. It is positive to be part of the development from the beginning," says Laura Zikmundová from Accace.

 

The Nalgoo ATS operates at a high level in terms of functionality. In places, I would compare it to science fiction :-). We can see that the solution is getting more and more sophisticated, but the price doesn't change. And although the system has been developed by a young company, its team is made up of professionals who have been in the HR field for many years.

 

What are the real benefits that Accace has seen during the six months of using Nalgoo ATS?

What makes me happiest when working with Nalgoo is that I can see it has not been created by machines, but by people. Everything I need to find is right at my fingertips, I can get the information I need from three clicks. Simply, its intuitive, I don't have to keep thinking about where to click, the buttons are always in the right place. This is what I miss from most solutions - they haven’t  considered the people and the tool is difficult to navigate. Thanks to this, we learned to work with Nalgoo ATS very quickly," appreciates Laura Zikmundová. "When I think of something that could be incorporated into the system while I'm working, the Nalgoo team always come to my rescue. I have never experienced such a pro-client approach. When they say that something can be done/incorporated/reworked, it applies not only in theory but also in practice. Often right away within the next release.

 

We would like to offer the system to our clients as well

Many small and medium-sized companies spend unnecessary money on staffing agencies. "Until now, we haven't seen a better supplier than Nalgoo. I see huge potential in this product and I think our clients would really appreciate it. I want to focus on this soon," the company's HR manager revealed her plans.

In terms of specific functionality, in the near future Accace would like to delve more into the designing and publishing of positions in the N-gate platform, which is part of the Nalgoo ATS. They are also considering connecting with Outlook and Gmail which would be a big plus. They plan to address this in more detail.

Gradually, the company also plans to present Nalgoo to affiliates in other countries where it operates. "Overall, I would evaluate the use of Nalgoo ATS very positively. I certainly recommend it not only to people working in HR but also to anyone who wants to simplify their work."
